Isabelle Dehaene is an obstetrician at Ghent University Hospital with a strong clinical and academic focus on high-risk pregnancy, preterm birth and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. She combines patient care with translational and clinical research and contributes to evidence-based obstetric care. She is involved in national and international research collaborations, chairs the European Association of Perinatal Medicine Special Interest Group on Preterm Birth, and is a member of the FIGO Preterm Birth Committee. She also has a longstanding commitment to education and simulation-based training in obstetric emergencies and team performance
