These General Terms of Use (hereafter, "the GTU") are designed to determine the guidelines for provision and use of the content and services of the web site www.biocodexmicrobiotainstitute.com (hereafter, "the Website") between the company BIOCODEX SAS (hereafter, "Biocodex") and the internet user (hereafter, "the User").
Access to the Website and its content, as well as the use of the services offered by the Website, implies that the User accepts these GTU without exception. Since the GTU can be modified at any time and without prior notice, the User is invited to consult them regularly.

3 - Purpose of the Website and access to services

The Website is aimed at the general public and health professionals.

The Website is intended to provide useful information better to understand the various microbiotas and their importance to human health. Its content has been drafted by a team of designers and editorial staff who are not health professionals on the basis of reference works and bibliographic data. Content has been validated by qualified health personnel.

Information provided by this Internet site does not in any manner replace medical advice.

The Website is accessible anywhere and to any User with an internet connection. All the expenses involved in accessing the Website (computer hardware, software, internet connection, etc.) are the responsibility of the User.

Biocodex uses all the tools at its disposal to ensure high-quality access to the Website and to its services. However, this is an obligation of means and not of result: the User thus agrees not to claim any compensation from Biocodex and their suppliers, in the event that the Website is not available at the time when the User wishes to access it. 

Access to the Website and its services can, at any time and without prior notice, be interrupted, suspended or changed, for maintenance purposes or for any other reason.

Biocodex shall not be liable for damages resulting from interference, interruptions, computer viruses, malfunctions or disconnections of the terminal that could temporarily prevent the User's access or navigation.

Biocodex endeavors to provide quality, verified information. However, information sources cannot be completely guaranteed.

The Website is intellectual work protected by intellectual property law. The Website along with all the items comprising it (such as logos, texts, photographs, images, PDF files and videos, etc.) are the exclusive property of Biocodex. The relevant domain name has been registered and is protected.

Duplication or reproduction in part or in its entirety of the Website or of any of its constituent components is authorised solely for private use. Any duplication or reproduction in part or in its entirety of the Website or of one of its constituent components in any medium and in any manner whatsoever for other purposes and in particular for business ends without formal authorisation from Biocodex and/or the copyright holder is prohibited and shall constitute counterfeiting liable to criminal prosecution.

The same applies to databases featuring in the Website, which are protected by the provisions stipulated in French law dated 1 July 1998 concerning the transposition in the French Intellectual Property Code of European Directive dated 11 March 1996 concerning the legal protection of databases.

Brands and logos featuring in the Website are registered brands (semi-figurative and otherwise). Furthermore, the images featuring in the Website are protected by copyright. Biocodex undertakes to comply with the regulatory provisions applicable to the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation).

The User may freely browse the Website without explicitly providing any personal information. Nevertheless, he may be required to provide data concerning him, for example by contacting Biocodex. In addition, the Site uses "cookies", which may send data about the User to third parties.

7 - Applicable law and competent jurisdiction

The GTU are governed by French law. Any conflict or divergence of interpretation will be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.
